Thursdays, Mark had Sofia. It was his night during the week to have Sofia and take care of her overnight. When the arrangement had first come about, Mark bitched about only having one night with his daughter, but it came to be that he would have her more than just Thursdays. Callie and Arizona would be called into the hospital in the middle of the night on different cases, leaving Mark on their couch as Sofia slept through the night. When it came to Thursdays, though… Thursdays were like Saturdays for Callie and Arizona. Callie would make Arizona a nice dinner, they’d cuddle on the couch before moving the steamier things to their bedroom, a trail of clothes in their wake.

And that’s exactly what’d happened the previous night. When Mark came into the apartment to grab an outfit for Sofia, he stepped over a black lacy bra, kicked a dark pair of skinny jeans out of his path and set Callie’s leather jacket on the back of the chair, mainly because Callie would have a fit if he stepped on it. Emerging from his daughter’s room, Callie was standing at the kitchen counter, pouring two cups of coffee dressed in nothing but an oversized t-shirt. A year ago, he would’ve made a smart-ass comment about how hot she looked in nothing but an oversized t-shirt, but she was married, they all had a kid together and things were very… Domestic.

“Really, Torres?” Mark asked as he sat at the bar and gestured to the clothes that had been left behind. “I come over to get Sofia some clothes and…. This?”

A smirk appeared on her face as she took a gulp of coffee. “Well, what can I say? It was your night with Sof.”

“You two fuck like rabbits.”

“We enjoy being married, thank you very much.” Callie retorted as took Arizona a cup of coffee. When she came back, she had a pair of shorts on under her shirt and she curled up on the couch. “You sound like you have such a problem with sex.”

“I don’t, but you two are married. You should be like… Enrolling in a couples’ bowling league or something. Not fucking like rabbits. I bet you couldn’t go a week without sex.” he laughed as he put Sofia in her bouncer and moved to pour himself a cup of coffee.

“Want to make that interesting, Sloan?” Callie asked, eyebrow arched in signature fashion. “Want to call it… A weekend out of town?”

Throwing the pillow over her head, Arizona stretched out more comfortably on the bed. She had made no attempts to get up, not even when her wife did, or when Mark came over. Though she knew Callie was going to be making coffee so that sparked the blonde’s attention just a bit. She yawned, groaning against the pillow. She didn’t feel like having to put on clothes right now but with Mark here there was just simply no way that she was leaving the room in her bra and booty shorts. It wasn’t happening. That was way too much skin for Mark Sloan to see, especially of hers.

Arizona finally got the energy to get out of bed. After a night like Callie and her had last night, there was perfect understanding why she was so exhausted. They had had a sex marathon. It happened every Thursday but last night was definitely a night to remember. Callie had her groove on and Arizona loved every second of it. Obviously she gave it all right back to her wife — that was a part of sex. Arizona loved giving the pleasure just as much as she loved to receive it. She padded over to the washroom, making sure that her hair didn’t look too much like sex hair. She left the bathroom just in time to see her wife come in and hand her the coffee.

“I’ll be out in a minute,” Arizona said tiredly, watching as her wife slipped on shorts under the long t-shirt. She was kind of upset to know that her wife’s ass was now fully covered, instead of just be a shirt and a thong. Callie left again and Arizona dug around the room for a shirt, finding only one of Callie’s clean scrub tops. They were comfortable so she threw it on and made her way out into the living room where her wife was curled up on the couch.

However, when she came out, Arizona was able to catch her wife’s last words.

Want to call it… A weekend out of town?

“What are we calling a weekend out of town?” Arizona asked, raising a brow at her wife as she clutched the coffee cup tightly in her hands. She crossed the living room to the couch, snuggling in close next to Callie.

Mark came back to the living room and sat on the chair that he’d put Callie’s jacket on. He wasn’t lying - they did have sex. A lot of sex. On-call rooms, supply closets, the back of Callie’s T-Bird… Anywhere they could. Callie had mentioned, at one point, that they were acting more like teenagers than married women. So, this bet could get interesting. Either the two women would cave like a house of cards within hours, or he was going to have two very crabby women on his hands. Either way, this was going to be interesting.

“You couldn’t do it, Cal. There’s no reason to even bet; I might as well go pack my bags and book a room somewhere now. Maybe I’ll go down and visit Addie in Los Angeles or something…” Mark trailed as Arizona walked into the room. His smirk only got bigger as the two women got closer together. There was no reason he was going to lose.

Arizona came and curled up close to Callie, who wrapped her arm over her wife’s shoulders and kissed her cheek softly. Her cup of coffee rested on the end table as she turned a little to meet Arizona’s eyes. “Mark and I want to make a bet and I guess I should probably ask you if you’re in before something drastic happens.” She couldn’t lie - this bet had her excited. She wanted to prove to Mark that they could do more than just have sex.

Arizona could tell that she had just walked in on an interesting conversation. Mark had a grin the size of the world across his face and Callie’s eyes were sparkling with excitement. What were they talking about? Something about the weekend, or a weekend, per say. She raised the cup up to her lips, sipping the warm liquid and suppressing the urge to let a happy sigh come from her lips. A cup of coffee was just the thing she had needed. Cuddling closer to her wife, Arizona waited for someone to inform her of what they were talking about.

“A bet?” She mused with an interested grin. A bet with Mark. Arizona could only guess what this was about to unfold. She glanced between her wife and the father of their child. “And what would this bet be about?” She asked, raising a curious eyebrow. It was probably about sex. That was Mark’s favorite topic and something that often came up when in conversation with him. But she wasn’t going to jump to conclusions. She sipped the coffee again, meeting her wife’s dark eyes. “But you already know I’m going to be in. Anything that involves beating Mark’s ass is good in my books.” Arizona smirked. She loved beating him, in anything, just like she had in that rock, paper, scissors match that they had just before Valentine’s Day in regards to who would babysit Sofia.

Mark had the biggest shit-eating grin Callie had ever seen - minus after his first time sleeping with Lexie. But these smiles were different. They were coming from different things. “Okay, well, Mark thinks we fuck like rabbits,” Callie started and idly started tracing her fingers on Arizona’s arm before pointing to the mess of clothing that was still waiting to be cleaned up. “And he doesn’t think we can last a week without sex. So I offered to make it interesting. Winner - or winners - get to go away for the weekend, loser has to stay home and watch Sofia. You still in, babe?”

While Arizona pondered, Callie eased herself off of the couch and cleaned up the evidence from the night before - if she didn’t do it then, it wasn’t going to happen. She deposited the clothes in the wicker basket in the corner of their room before returning to the couch and grabbing both mugs of coffee to refill. Callie was already thinking of places to take Arizona for their victory trip. Maybe they’d make the drive to Vancouver - the three-hour-and-some-change drive - and spend a weekend in the snow. Or they could get a cabin in the mountains. Maybe they’d fly down to Los Angeles and see Addie. Who knew?

Arizona listened as Callie began talking. As she had thought, it was indeed about sex. Sex should be Mark’s middle name considering he not only worried about his sex life but obviously worried about Callie and her’s. Though he had a point. Callie and her did fuck like rabbits, or maybe even worse. Arizona smirked, nodding along with her wife’s words. They had sex everywhere. The two of them really had no shame, and luckily, had not been caught by anyone. Well, Mark had walked in on them a couple of times — mostly just after Sofia was born, but besides that, they had been fortunate enough to not be caught by any of their coworkers while having sex in the on call rooms. Every couple in the hospital had besides them. They were definitely luckily.

Moving to the edge of the couch where her wife previously sat before getting up to clean up, Arizona thought about it. She brought her light eyes over to Mark, biting her inner cheek. This could be a challenge, but a very interesting one indeed. Plus if she passed up the offer, that would only give Mark the idea that she wouldn’t be able to handle no sex for a week. It was just a week, right? She could do that. Arizona could kindly keep her hands to herself. She waited until her wife came back out to speak.

“Well, I don’t pass up dares.” Arizona smirked idly. “So I’m in,” She nodded. “Games on. We better start packing Calliope. Our getaway will sure be nice.” She said joyfully. Oh, Arizona was excited.

Love Like a Sunset || Callie & Arizona

callietorres-greysroleplay:

With Mark newly single, Callie leaped at the chance for an actual Valentine’s Day date with Arizona. It was only a little sad that it took until they were married - with a daughter, no less - for it to happen, but Callie figured it was better late than never. A Valentine’s date for Callie and Arizona meant a night for Mark to spend with his daughter, something he never failed to jump at. Childcare was the easy part. Figuring out where to take Arizona that wouldn’t be incredibly cliché proved more difficult than she thought it would. She found herself talking to all of the guys at the hospital; Derek, Mark, Avery.. None of them had the right idea for what Callie had in mind, but they got her mind whirring.

It wasn’t until a conversation with Bailey, in the attending’s lounge, that Callie really got moving on plans for their date. A simple question, asking if Mark Sloan was really going to back down that easily, got her mind rolling and sent her into a massive planning spree.

“Mark!” Callie called, catching her best friend in the hallway. As soon as he turned around, acknowledging her, she shoved him into a nearby supply closet and closed the door. When she turned to face him once again, all she was met with was a sly grin.

“Wow, it’s been a while since this has happened.” Came his snarky remark, his grin growing. “I thought Blondie was doing alright, but you know-” Her left hand, complete with her wedding band, flew over his mouth to silence him.

“Don’t be gross. Happily married, jerk.” Her voice was almost a growl as she pointed to her ring. “I need a favor. More specifically, I need you to fight with Arizona.” His eyebrows arched in confusion but, hand still to his mouth, he couldn’t make the snarky reply he wanted to. “I’m planning Valentine’s Day. And I know she’ll want to plan something as well. So, I need you to fight with her about who’s staying in and babysitting Sofia. It’ll throw her off.”

“But I already told you-“

“Yes, you told me, but I haven’t told her and I want our Valentine’s Day to be a surprise. So, I need you to fight with her. I know I usually try to keep you kids from fighting, but I need you to fight just this once. I swear I’ll never want you to fight with my wife again, okay?” With a simple shrug, Callie’s smile grew and she threw her arms around him, giving him a hug before exiting the closet.

“Oh come on, Torres, not even a kiss?” He called after her, only to be met with her middle finger.

— LATER THAT NIGHT —

“So you’re babysitting on the big day, right?” Mark asked. He had directed the conversation purposefully towards Valentine’s Day. He had a job to do - fight with Arizona Robbins.

“I actually have plans… Well, I’m making plans. You can have more time with Sofia. I figured it’s a win win, right?” Arizona asked perkily, hoping that the whole time with Sofia thing would gear Mark into wanting to babysit even more.

“Yeah well, as much as I love my daughter, there’s a nurse that’s calling my name. Sorry blondie.” Mark chuckled. There was no nurse.

“What?” She narrowed her eyes. Mark couldn’t have plans. No. That…That ruined everything. “You’re picking the woman over your daughter?” She crossed her arms.

“For one night, yeah.” Mark laughed.

Arizona groaned, shaking her head from across the island at Mark. “But I have a wife who I’ve never gotten to plan a real Valentine’s day for Mark. You…You have a fling!” She said incredulously. Since Callie and her had been together they hadn’t really been able to go out and have a real Valentine’s day date together. Sometimes the both of them even had to work, but this time around, that wasn’t the case. And Arizona had wanted to surprise her wife with a beautiful dinner somewhere and then a romantic evening, but of course, none other than Mark Sloan wanted to get in the way of that.

“Sofia spent the entire weekend at my house blondie. It’s your turn.” Mark crossed his arms over his chest, narrowing his eyes at the blonde. He was running out of valid reasons to argue about with Arizona. She was really standing her ground. Geez, what had Callie put him up to? On a regular basis Arizona and Mark used to fight and slowly they had become accustomed to each other, realizing that they were co-parenting and things needed to change. They weren’t children anymore: they were parents.

“One Valentine’s Day, Mark. One.” Her voice gentle.

“Hey, I’ve got some awesome sex plann,-“

“And so do I. That’s why you are going to babysit.” Arizona smiled cheekily.

Mark’s face fell into a groan. Arizona wasn’t going to give up. He was only told to fight with her, not win with her. He had done what Callie wanted. Now to make it more realistic, he shook his head, huffed and disappeared out the front door. Callie better be happy for this. Fighting with the perky Peds surgeon was not an easy thing.

I’ve decided that, if Arizona had never come around, I’d love Mallie just as much as I love Calzona. Because, honestly, they’d have that kind of relationship where they’d act like best friends and made fun of each other, but were really hot when they were alone.

Idk, there’s like a fight in the Calzona fandom about the Mallie fandom existing and so I was on the Mallie tag so I came to that conclusion.

Don’t mind me.

I always get confused. .___.
Is Mallie Mark and Callie or Callie and George?
